I was thinking about how Larson would have handled the ideas(I heard somewhere they were planning on making them in the second or third season), and I thought of how I would do it. I was certainly disappointed in the mini in how th ehumanoid ones seem to dominate Cylon culture and the metallic ones seem to be reduced to grunts, and when they change into humanoid form, that's it. My concept would be that there is indeed a Cylon under the skin that will tear its way out to attack you.
I started drawing, and was pleasantly surprised on how little the final result resembled a Terminator.
Concepts:
-when the artificial skin is in place, the roving eye is turned off, but for emergencies it can still scan, and you will see the light moving back and forth under the skin.
-the skull resembles a human skull, but there is a hole connecting the two eyes to make them one, and the roving red eye is a little deeper under the skull.
- They can alternate between a normal human voice and the famous droning voice.
-the iconic crests are thinner, and can pop out of the skull. I have a pic of a guy with a bloody Cylon crest sticking out of his head. If that happens, I hope you've said goodbye to your loved ones, because when that happens, they're not spies anymore.
And when they lose skin in a fight, their bodies will seem to open and unlock, making them larger, causing spikes and blades to pop out. Imagine shooting a Cylon and instead of it dying it starts to grow, tearing out of its artificial skin.
Anybody want to see these? Anyone who can host them for me?
