Sadly he has passed away at age 95. Just yesterday I heard that he was doing much better in a radio report. Buddy Epsen starred in both The Beverley Hillbillies and Barnaby Jones(A favorite of mine). He was also in many films including a great WWII movie titled Between Heaven and Hell with Robert Wagner.

I, too, am saddened to hear of Buddy Ebsen's passing. You know, when you consider the age of some of the actors and actresses that have recently passed, it's not totally unexpected to hear of their death. It still hurts, though.
Farewell, Mr. Ebsen. You will be missed.

Yes, most sad. He would have been good on the Council of twelve.

I loved Barnaby Jones!
I used to get up in the middle of the night to watch it and Streets of San Francisco!! (you know, the latter I did because I HAD to see Richard's episodes, lol)
RIP Buddy!

I'm glad to learn that there are other fans of Barnaby Jones here. I have fond memories of that series. I was deeply saddened by the news of Mr. Ebsen's passing. He will be missed.

The world shall be a poorer place with the loss of Buddy Ebsen. I liked Barnaby Jones. There were lots of cop/detective shows on right then. But somehow his just worked. He had a way of making the character fit his personality.
