I remember when I first joined CF over a year ago. Everyone was so happy. Now many are saddened. One disappointment after another. However disapointment is a part of life. Life can be cruel. IMHO disappointment only strenthens us. We will go on. That is a promise Fandom will not be wiped away with the sweep of a broom. We will not go quietly into the night.

Paul

I thought I would add this seperately. This is a bit personal. I am really a big kid at heart. I remember one christmas a number of years ago. I thought that I didn't receive enough. I pouted. It's normal. Little did I know that I had the best gift in front of me, my Dad. As fate would have it he passed on 3 months latter. It was sudden and unexpected. Now that was sad. I still miss his wisdom to this very day.

I'll tell you what went wrong, Kingfish. We got angry. Then a couple of jackasses came in and fanned the flames. When we found out what and who they were, we went after them. It took a long time.
Then, when we had vanquished them, we came back and tried to resume the discussions we had been having - and discovered that we distrusted some of the voices still here, who were saying similar things to what the jackasses had said. (In cold, hard fact, we may still have some of the jackasses hanging around.) Nerves still raw, there was some lashing out at old friends. It kind of perpetuated the anger.
The fact the mini was in production, our voices apparently unheard, didn't help matters any.
But things are getting better. One of the authors of the Abomination has come forward and engaged us in a dialogue, even to the point of telling his phony supporters to knock it off. There is more off-topic discussion going on. The Two-Word Story is alive and well, although we mourn the loss of Emerita's computer mouse. :rose: :(
I see strong signs that we're regaining our focus. The BSG DVD set is still set for release in November/December, from what I hear. CA is having a group review-a-thon of BSG episodes this weekend. I'm seeing more and more genuinely funny posts all over this board, too.
There are projects being worked on all over the place. Did you see SteveW's new work?
That's what's going on, Kingfish. Glad to have you back to contribute some positive vibes.

PS - I am blessed that my father is still with us; I grieve with you in your loss.

Thank you Dawg. I did see Steve's work. That is one of the positives of CF. The great work done by all of the artists.
