Insignia pins

On a whim, I browsed E-Bay looking for the collar insignia pins. Imagine my delight when I saw them listed.

Now, I want your opinions. Are these the insignias?

They don't look right to me......

Must go and refind that article I read on the web. They don't look right, but they did do some work on pins and patches for other battlestars than the Galactica and the Pegasus, if I recall the article correctly.

These are the right ones. I think what's off in the photo is you see the round pin holder behind the pin itself. Go back and take a look.

I did just that, Jim, then I compared them to photographs CF has in the gallery. I downloaded a couple and blew up the images.

The pin backs aside, they still don't look right to me. I don't see the dagger through the star shape in the photographs, and it looks to me to be more pointed in the center. Granted, my images aren't too clear, so it's still possible, but they still don't look right to me.

Does anybody have any close-up shots from the original series you can point me to???

And I also notice, Agelastus, that the collar pins on Sheba's uniform jacket appear to be the same as anybody else's. Again, that's based on very small images, so I could be all wet.

if you are looking for some, an ebay store called starbase atlanta usually has some, they often put a pair up for auction. I know I paid less than the costuming place sells them for. the repros aren't as pretty as the originals but they are still cool to have.
