Oh, it's not that big a deal.

I rented the DVD this weekend (I've watched it three times). I remember, now, why I'm so disgusted with BS03.

You DO know WHICH DVD I'm referring to, right?

Anyway, as I was watching it this afternoon, something caught my eye, something that I felt shouldn't have been there. So, through the magic of DVD, I cued it up to that point and went frame by frame. And I saw it.

Those of you who have the DVD can go see for yourself. Cue it to this scene, then pause and advance it frame by frame, paying attention to each line as it is drawn on Athena's screen.

The scene is the one after the attack, Starbuck is returning to the Galactica, his Viper heavily damaged, his throttle stuck wide open. Athena's on duty and begins talking him through rerouting circuitry.

Pause the picture as she is typing, just before you see the schematic being drawn on her screen. Advance it frame by frame, and you should see it. It will come just before the schematic is complete.

If you want to know what I saw without the detective work, I'll put it in a spoiler window so as not to spoil the fun of those that want to do the detective work:

The words "Made in USA" appear on the screen, very briefly. as the schematic is finished. The way the schematic is drawn is typical of the Tektronix display equipment of the day (I know, I worked for them then), and the schematic display was obviously supplied by the Tektronix people; in fact, it was probably a Tektronix circuit board it was displaying.

See? Not really important, but mildly amusing. And, I'll bet this little discovery of mine has been discovered many times before.

After all, it's been out 25 years.....

Didn't I also read something here about the USA flag painted on a Viper?

OK, now I'm going to have to watch the movie again - in slow motion - to see what else I can find.

And my wife's not happy!!

...When the Wife's not happy, NO ONE IS HAPPY.

DANGER WILL ROBINSON-DANGER....

(Take this from someone going through the Judicial Meat Grinder. Yes, I said Meat Grinder.)

Do it when she has "Girl's Night Out", and save yourself the torment.

She does have Girl's Night Out, right?

How well I know that.....

I feel your pain, LSF. It's a rough process and is not designed to make life any easier. It will end, though, eventually, and you'll be able to get on with your life. And, if you have a good lawyer, you may not have to dig yourself too far out of poverty....

Actually, I am a very fortunate man to be married to my lady. She is actually very tolerant of my semi-obsession with BSG, even though I probably won't watch the movie again today because I'm taking her to X2 (and I'm sending those ticket stubs in, together with some others I got from a friend at work).

Anyway, have a good Memorial Day.

I've seen that. I started a thread a few months ago about it. I guess it didn't make it to the new CF forum.
