First let me say I trust Sandy, his words and actions on this and other forums, his e-mail and PM’s this is a guy I trust, he’s put out great effort and this Ron Moore interview what a coup.
I’ve got a couple of points that Ron Moore MUST BE MADE AWARE OF and ONE QUESTION THAT MUST BE ASKED.
I’m not all that articulate and do not write well if one of my compatriots wants to edit and polish whatever, fine but Moore must be aware.
Many of us were fans of his previous work.
That work was done with respect in existing franchises; Battlestar Galactica is an existing franchise.
Fans of the original series we’re willing to compromise so much to keep hopes of the original series alive, this production would give us nothing…we know this not a democracy
Following the recommendations below Ron Moore could still win our support although it is probably too late to ever win our respect.
Change the character names, ditch the call signs.
Make the Mini-series a distant Prequel the story of the flight from Kobol.
Change the name of the Android enemy to anything but Cylon.
Tone down the sex a bit so the whole family could watch this.
Incorporate the original Galactica Mythos the connections to ancient Earth civilizations.
That’s all Ron Moore all you had to do, why could you not make those simple changes?
