I read something that made me shudder. The Galactica herself was one of the PLUSES of tos. Mighty and proud. Guess what. The new ship will have retractible landing bays that enter the hull. What show are they giving us? Next I expect the big G to have warp nacells. "Make it so number 6." Sorry for the attempted humor but it goes from bad to worse. Finally the only bright spot is that we still have SteveW's big G which looks like the ship we love. Keep em coming.

Don't beleive everything you hear though. I'm fairly sure they wouldn't butcher that design too much. It would be like re-inventing the Enterprise. Mind you, the Galactica will probably be updated similarly to the difference between the Enterprise A and D.

I hope not. I hope they keep at least the namesake of the show unchanged.
