Ratings for reality shows are down. Survivors rating fell sharply however we keep getting the same old feldercarb because it is cheap to produce. In the future cable will dominate for original programing. Look at HBO, Showtime, and others. People order them not for the movies shown but rather originals like The Sopranos, Band of Brothers, Jeremiah, and so on.

I agree, and Sci-fi is the johning come lately to the reality tv show scene with Scare tatics another brilliant idea from the mind of Bonnie Hammer.. (sence the sarcasm)

Agreed. It's just like any other 'fad'. All of the networks jump in for a quick fix and ratings bump.
I especially liked this comment:
Sick of the reality TV. ... What happened to real television programming? If this is reality, I must live in a fictitious world. Come on, networks, get back to being creative, hiring actors and writing scripts!"
With thoughts like this swimming around the minds of the general populace, the timing may never be better for us!
