It's becoming very clear that the Moore Fans are worried about the future of Ron's project. The frequent requests for "healing" and for fans coming together indicate that they realize the project won't succeed without the fans of TOS.

Unfortunately Ron alterned Galactica so much that it isn't really Galactica anymore. You can't just name a ship Galactica, give a commander the name of Adama, and say that someone called Cylons wiped out the planet Kobal and expect people to believe that the project is still Battlestar Galactica.

BSGbountyhunter's comments that a successful Moore Galactica will lead to a continuation series/movie seems to me to be quite a stretch. Remember "New Coke"? Only after it flopped was old coke brought back. Frankly, I do not believe that all of us rallying behind Moore's Galactica will bring back the real Galactica. :colwar:

...Was just the same old taste of Pepsi in a different Can

The New Re-Imagined Galactica, is just a tired rehash of the same old Star Trek, with a different Ship.

and after Coke came back with classic Coke
we got
Cherry Coke
Caffiene free (sugar and diet versions)
Vanilla Coke

and Coke outsells Pepsi, at least in my area.

AlphaNova, what a great illustration of a bad product launch not killing a brand. Thank you! I sooooo needed that!
