I got this from The Scifi Guys about new ‘The Scifi Channel’ shows coming to you: I’m beginning to wonder if DeSanto is sort of glad he is not working for Scifi.
Ya know 'Battlestar Galactica' just might suck no matter who writes for it, produces it and stars in it.

New Sci Fi Channel Series? Eeek!
If I were trying to make up up jokes about new shows, I couldn't come up with this stuff. According to the Sci Fi Channel, here's what they have coming in the near future. "Dead Lawyers," is a show about unscrupulous lawyers who try to redeem themselves by coming back from the dead and helping people. Dead paralegals are apparently optional. "The Divide" is a show about a psychic DJ who teams up with his dead twin sister and a coroner to solve crimes. In "Legion" a man sells his soul to the devil to save his sister and now must wander the Earth helping people. Actually, sounds a bit like "Brimestone." Also look for "Stargate Atlantis," a spin-off of "Stargate" with a new team and "Painkiller Jane" a secret agent enhanced with super healing powers.
More From the Sci Fi Channel?
If "Dead Lawyers" didn't scare you off, here are some more ideas percolating at the Sci Fi Channel. "Clive Barker's The Evil One" is a series where the protagonist is evil? That's different, I guess. "Total Eclipse" has a new faculty member join a college where the supernatural is just part of the curriculum. "Suture Girl" is about an ad exec who dies and then is rebuilt with superpowers to help the innocent. There's more, but this is all I can handle right now.
OK yet even more stupid shit from The Scifi Channel………..

J. Michael Straczynski developed a series for the Sci-Fi Channel called Polaris.
This project began life in February 2001. Straczynski turned in at least two scripts including one for a two-hour pilot.
Polaris made it to the final three candidates to be picked up by the Sci-Fi Channel. Unfortunately, Straczynski announced in January 2003 that Polaris was turned down for being "too science fictiony". After the turnaround period has expired, Straczynski plans to take the project elsewhere. On 01 April 2003, Straczynski said that another studio might be showing strong interest in Polaris.
Straczynski says, "I've kept the basic storyline of Polaris under lock and key because it's the kind of thing which, once you hear it, you know instantly why the Sci-Fi Channel picked it up to develop, even though it's a fairly pristine area inside the genre, and I'm trying to keep competition to a minimum for now."
