In about a month there's a party I'd like you all to come to, at your convenience. It just so happens it coincides with my birthday weekend (that's the arm twisting part, heh.)

I do believe people reap what they sow. But sometimes we can help the good guys get rewarded for their efforts, even if it isn't a direct reward for the project we wanted to succeed.

A certain producer (to whom we owe a debt, if nothing else for them trying to get what we wanted) has this movie coming out the first weekend in May. I'd like to invite you to a "whenever you can attend that weekend (or the next)" virtual party.

Date: May 2-17, 2003
Day: weekends preferred but attending is the main thing
Place: Local theatre of your choice
No. of guests: Invite everyone you can, all are welcome, the more the merrier, there is no limit to the number of guests you can bring with you.

We have to all go to the same show for this virtual party idea to work: The movie is X-men 2. (See, you were already planning it weren't you!)

The man we are thanking with box office numbers is of course: Tom Desanto. Didn't think you'd have a problem with that. ;)

I'm only announcing this so everyone can plan for it. (and twist you arm and say "but it's for my b-day" heeheeheehee.)

There is some justice in success, I think. Some payback in that. Just figured we sort of owe him some "fellow colonial warrior" support. And it is a positive thing to do. Helps the economy too.

Magneto: "You should have killed me when you had the chance"

Tom DeSanto is an executive producer of a very successful movies, I wonder if he has become to 'big' to go slumming @ The Scifi Channel?

Ps. jewels I'll cary a bottle of rum in to toast your birthday?

Oh, So how many candles will you have on your cake?

To big for sci-fi channel is good, maybe he can see about talking the universal execs into syndication of the series. If he's still interested in make a battlestar galactica series...

Anything to let Tom know that we Warriors are supportive of him. (and you, of course)

It really makes one wonder how BSG might have faired with a True Hollywood Professional at the helm rather than a washed up Trek Hack, and a fleetload of teenage boneheads.

May 17th!

I'm there opening night anyway, so I'll make sure and see it again for the party! And maybe even one more time for Tom.

Birthday and Tom DeSanto support in one.

Tom will always hold a place in the Galactica history, and hopefully future. (Always wishing)

I hope some day we can learn more details about his plans.

I bought X-men 1.5 at Sam's tonight, awesome idea: it comes with a coupon for a theater ticket for X2.

Thanks for the idea dvo!
