Are you fed up with all the felgercarb with this new BSG production? Fan bickering getting to you? Are ready to pull your hair out? (provided you have any left). Well tell us all about it here!
I'm frustrated with all the hints and insinuations with no one getting to the point about what is going on. I want to do something. But what can I do without the correct info. I'm tired of propaganda, I want facts. I'd rather vent here than take it out on some other fans who might have different opinions, but are really just as ignorant as me about what is going on behind the scenes. I'm mad as hell and I want you all to know it.
Any takers?

We get information in spurts and dribbles - and much of that turns out to change by the end of the day (if it isn't deliberate misinformation to begin with). Frustrating? Yes. Expected? Given the events of the past couple of days, probably should be.
I'm too new to the scene (so to speak) to really know who's "in the know" and who wants to be and is therefore speaking louder (hints and pointers would be welcome from some of you who have been here longer - privately if you prefer). I don't follow any other boards so I'm pretty much in the dark about rumors from elsewhere. I've never seen anything about the RDM vision except what I've read in the past few weeks as I navigated my way to CF.
I am a member of this forum because the people here have expressed opinions that most closely reflect mine (most of the time) and because I'm less likely to be flamed here than elsewhere if I respectfully dissent. Respect runs rampant here.
I'm here to learn about the comeback of a show that has had such incredible promise that it has survived with no studio support (unlike Star Trek) with as rabid a fan base as Star Trek ever had (that was a nice discovery for me).
I'm also here to lend my support to the concept of a continuation - or at the very least a retelling (not "reimagining") that is true to the spirit and concept of the original, and not morphed into a bad Star Trek episode.
Since I personally can't light a fire under any studio/network executives, I'm taking a wait-and-see attitude. Apparently, something may be heard in the next week or two, and I'm eager to hear what it is.
Well, another long post. Hope I didn't bore anybody... :/:

P.S. - no, I am not advocating arson - but a phaser, maybe, set on heavy stun..?

I've been hoping for a continuation or like what Dawg said above a retelling that honors and respects the original with original characters, designs, explanded storyline, and updated special effects. There is a difference between "remake" and "re-imagining". I'm still open to a prequel. TPTB apparently won't be giving the viewers any of this. All they're giving us is this "re-imagining". All this waiting is driving me to drink. Oh well, tomorrow's Friday.

I personally would like to see a retelling, prequel, or sequel. But I'm going to hold judgement on this re-imagining till it hits the screen because:
1) I always give things a chance before I decide if I hate or like it.
and 2) I don't pay much attention on the sci-fi bboard but Neuromanzr posted something that I agree with.

i wll vent and here is as good a place as any.
i am pissed that the powers that be continue to frell with us. one day it is going to be re-imgained then they will consider a prequel, now they are back to the re-imagined version.
i am sick of this back and forth crap from the execs in charge of sci-fi and bsg. what is so hard to understand why we want a continuation. why is it so hard to do a continuation.
we go from no information to too much information. leaks and insiders who can or cant be trusted. i am sick and tired of the political bs that goes on with bsg. why cant they just let us have a show we can be proud of and that stays true to the original series.
i guess since they canceled farscape it shows how much they want fans to stay with thier station.
