Let's petition ABC to air 3 hour pilot of BG for it's 25th anniversary!

Hi all.

With all of the talk of the 'new' Battlestar Galactica in the development stage, and most of us understanding, and not exactly liking what is going to take place with the basic plot and character changes...how about this...

We petition ABC to air the 3 hour pilot of the ORIGINAL Battlestar Galactica for it's 25th Anniversary...which is this fall.

Wouldn't it be great if ABC aired the original Galactica to compete with the Sci-Fi Channel's 'retelling'? Betcha we'd send the Sci-Fi channel a HUGE message if the majority of people watched the original 3 hour pilot on ABC vs. the 'new and improved' idea behind the story.

I know which network I'd be watching that night. A-B-C. I doubt they'd go along with it. Considering Glen Larson and Universal's history with the network.

Pity could have been a real event should they re-issued the pilot with new footage to make the 25th Anniversary a special occasion. Apollo1980 on to something here. (hello by the way) If not i rather wait for E! Entertainment to do a behind the scenes documentary on how Battlestar Galactica came to be.

With alot of celebrity profiles on E! i wouldn't be surprised if it did happen now. Watching E! Entertainment you get the feeling they gotta cover Battlestar Galactica within the year? On 24/7, the channel's covered more old 1970's shows than you can keep track of. Well, hope something BG based turns up on E! because i agree with Captmiloman, it's unlikely network would, and the way The Sci-fi Channel's going in the states as we over here hear about, as well as are own Sci-fi Channel in the U.K. don't bet on it!

If your talking petition for a DVD boxset extras packed of Battlestar Galactica. Yeah you got my vote!

i'd watch A-B-C if they did that. It would show Sci-fi "re-doing" isn't always better.

Like I've stated before, E! True Hollywood Story:Battlestar Galactica. I'd be getting the VCR set for this one.

I would sign the petition for ABC.But like I said before I even refuse to watch Sci-Fi channel.It's stupid now!
