If they cast it with monkeys.
Because monkeys are funny damn it! Especially when you dress them up in clothes.

LOL! :)
Battlestar Galactica meets Planet of the Apes?
(Two-in-one bad remakes? -- this is just too much! :D :D)

They say if you get an infinite number of monkeys all typing, you'll eventually get the complete works of Shakespeare.
Obviously this method hasn't paid off for the Sci-Fi Channel. ;)

I've forwarded the script to all monkeys I know. I'm still waiting on a few responses but so far the answers I've got have been in the negative. For example, Bobo the chimp said, "I won't compromise my artistic integrity by appearing in something that bad!" then he threw his feces at the script.

Since it was written by a monkey it would only make sense to cast monkeys in the roles. A special female monkey could play Starbuck because of course we couldn't let a male monkey play him.

Now if the crew of the Galactica were a bunch of young cool hip kids, who broke out into a music video/chase scene while the Cylons were after them, that would have me waiting at the edge of my sofa each week.
"Last Train to Caprica" and "I'm Not Your Steppin' Cylon" would be awsome.
I would personally prefer the original Mike, Mickey, Peter and Davy, but we know how today's Hollywood feels about anyone over fifty.
Oh my God, what am I doing. Sci Fi might read this and think it's a great idea. "Sci Fi series meets boy band, how can it go wrong?" some SciFi executive may be saying to him(her)self.

"Here in outer space....

How about Eve the Chimp to appear as Number 6? Oh wait, Eve appeared as Muffit in the original series.

Well there you have it!
One of Ron Moore's famous tributes to the original show.

I haven't heard anyone mention Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp, in, oh, 30 years? That was such a funny show, especially the ep with the microfilm in the chicken's third leg.
I can just see the Colonials taking on the CYLONS. Can anyone solve this acronym? My attempt: Cyber-creatures Yearning for Life Obliteration on Nearby Stars.

Gotta use one of Hito's smilies for this thread. http://www.darkervisions.com/bp/rolleyes2.gif this should do but know I find you all hysterical, just can't find the smilie with the head rolling in laughter.
Chimps would be a good resolution for casting the remake, they'll work for bananas. (Ow!)

LucianG,
Lancelot Link cracked me up when I was a kid. I'm glad somebody remembers it!
An acronym for CYLONS? Hmmmm. Well all of the hand jobs in Moore's script got me to thinking and this is what I came up with:
Cybernetic humanoids
Yanking
Lower
Organs
Nightly in
Space

In a Battlestar Galactica production with monkeys, would Muffit be played by a human in a suit?
Peter
P.S. I'd recommend someone called Ron to play the part.
