IF TPTB really want to produce a continuation, because the majority voted for B like some people told us (and that is the only reason the majority voted for B), I think they should announce this plan until the upcoming weekend.
To hold back the information any longer wouldn't make any sense, because (as the same people told us) TPTB want to start the production of the continuation before the prequel airs. To announce the double strategy right now would raise much more interest in both productions and therefore raise the interest in the whole property.
This is the time for TPTB to prove that they started the poll and spread the information about their "continuation as well"-plans NOT ONLY to calm the fanbase to secure the advertising profits, BUT ALSO to reward the fanbase for their ongoing fight and passion for the property called Battlestar Galactica.
I suggest that we go on with mailing and boycotting their sponsers, because it seems that they ignored us until we started to bring up their sponsers.
To secure that they can't use the poll-result to misinform the sponsers about the wants of the fanbase, we should inform the sponsers in our mails about the unfair poll that was started by TPTB and the indirect deal that was offered by them. We should point out that that was the only reason for us to vote for B, BUT we all want a continuation. Furthermore we should refer to our main petition with over 16000 signatures demanding a continaution.
If we act in the proposed way, I think we only can win, because...
- If the poll wasn't a trick, TPTB can avoid any damage by acting NOW in announcing their plans for a continuation production later this year in addition to a prequel production.
- If it was a trick: at least we tried but we are still on track and didn't lost to much by giving them our hands.
We showed our willing to compromise. Now it's their turn or the battle goes on.
The worst we could do right now is to fall in a wait and see mode. They came up with the prequel idea ONLY because we made too much noise. So let's keep being loud OR let's get even louder!!! It's the only way to win this fight and to reach our goal.
