For 1. Apollo & Starbuck are an inseperable tie for me. I'm not chosing, not then, not now.....
For 2. Lucifer was fun
For 3. Iblis- ultimate villian
For 4. Not a clear favorite though 2 I despise: borays and Ovions- icky on both counts.
So I'll pick the Nomen, Artemis is right: lots of unexplored potential. Loved Gar 'Tok in RH's books.

O.K. here goes,
- 1 Regulars: E and J tie
- 2 Semi Regulars: B Omega more or less is also very much apart of the show (poor guy should have been in the opening credits)
- 3 Guest Stars A, C,D three way tie. Three of the best guest stars on BG
- 4 Aliens C, D Can't be helped with all these ties? Cylons are as much credited to the success of BG as the characters of Starbuck and Apollo and Boomer. And the Borellian Nomen have always been the more underused alien characters of the series. Had Galactica become a major series instead of a One season show. It could have been very interesting to watch how Star Trek's Klingons would have been handled in comparison to the Borellian Nomens of Battlestar Galactica, who originally were driven by honor, bloodlust, ancient tribal warring ways and codes of conduct!

Jewels proves her genius again, Gar 'Tok was a great character from Hatch's books. Damn Jewels you remind me i must get the Warhawk novel in paperback soon or track down the hardback one.
The fight between Apollo and the Noman in Warhawk's opening is prove enough how good they could be used in a revived continuation!

You know, I treally don't remember much about the characters after catagory 1 (and I think most of you might have a tiny idea of who my favorite is there...).
In Catagory 2, Lucifer is the only one I remember.
In 3, I only remember Chameleon.
And for 4, Was there more than one Being of Light? What were the Borays? Nomen were the guys who were after Chameleon, right? So, that leaves the Cylons and the Ovions that I know well enough to decide between, and shiny big guys with lazer eyes and pvc pipe voices are way cooler than catapillers with thyroid problems.
I guess I'll have to wait till Feburary to answer.

1. C. Apollo was the most complex of the warriors. He lost his brother, mother, and wife to war. After gaining a son, he had to balance the responsibility of fatherhood against the dangers of his career.
2. A. Lucifer was brilliantly voiced by the late Jonathan Harris.
3. A. Cain was a fully realized character with complicated motivations and flaws.
4. C. Even though they lost the ability to hit a moving target after wiping out the colonies, I still think that the Cylons are wicked cool. The Nomen are a close second. I agree with the others that these guys had a tremendous amount of potential. I guess the Star Trek folks agreed too, because when the Star Trek movies were re-launched with STTMP, the Klingons suddenly looked, sounded, and acted like the Nomen!
Thanks,
Dave

1. Regulars:
C. Apollo- I like the 'straight guy' charachters.
2. Semi-Regulars
A. Lucifer- the first cylon middle manager. Mech-Dilbert.
3. Guest Stars
G. Serina- the best charachter to be nominated for 'regular' status.
4. Aliens
F. Iblis- I know, write in candidate, but wasn't he a 'fallen' light being?
