I purchased a Nook from Barnes & Noble, and, out of curiosity, I searched the word "Galactica." One title came up that I do not recognize. It is "Earth Star: A Monograph on the 1977 Vision of Battlestar Galactica" by Steven O'Donoghue, copyright 2012 Smashwords.
It contained the first 20 pages. I have not bought the online book to read.
Everything that was in those 20 pages can be found on the Internet and nothing was new to me.
Of course, I was suspicious immediately when the title said 1977 instead of 1978!
Have any of you read this?
Oh, and I looked up the definition of monograph. It means a "a detailed written study of a single specialized subject or an aspect of it."

It refers to 1977 because it goes into the 'proto Galactica' before George Lucas stuck his oar in and Skyler became Apollo. It's emphasis is on the version of Galactica we never saw (which IMO is just as interesting or even more interesting than the version we got).

It cost me £1.97 from Amazon for my Kindle for mac app.
