Got an easy month coming up since I just had the busiest spring and summer of my life. I just finished my last of 6 chemo treatments yesterday. Will have surgery for the cancer next month but the prognosis is promising and I will be here for a very long time!

Surgery got delay because of a minor complication. Waiting to hear when the new date is.

Had the surgery at last yesterday. I feel happy to finally be home. Still facing another surgery in the near future but taking it one day at a time.

DO NOT EAT SOME CHOCOLATE! In fact, stay away from anything with sugar in it.

(He means well, what with the more emotional, "romantic" qualities of chocolate, but sugar is the last thing you should be consuming.)

Stick to organics, whole grains and vegetables, and no matter how loud the Hershey bar calls to you, ignore it.

Be leery of dairy, too.

Well it has been one crazy year for me with dealing with cancer but I am glad that I had such a great support system here and on other sites with my dear friends. You made this warriors fight worth it. I count you not as friends but my extended family!

Had good news a few weeks ago, the spots that they found on my lungs last year are still there and they are not testing them to see if they are cancerous, but they are taking as if they were and since last October I have been getting a maintenance therapy that is targeting those little buggers and the last scan they did showed that they are shrinking!

It sounds like you've got a good medical crew, there, and you're all working in harmony -- in other words, they tell you what to do and you listen!
