Eagerly awaiting the blu-ray to add to my Battlestar Galactica collection.

I didn't realize that it was this coming Sunday, I thought that it was coming on the 17th. At least that's the date that was originally given a few months ago. I'll have to set my satellite box to pull it up for me.

I watched some of the begining of it. I lost interest part way in since i've already seen the web eps. But i can tell ya i like len's flares but holy gawd it's much more definitive watching it on my big screen. They really tried to hide the flaw's and it got to be to much sometimes.
Still bothers me BIG time how this franchise has been wasted.

Looking forward to the BluRay next week. Yeah, some of the CG was clearly skimped on, but overall I found it to be pretty enjoyable. It was not nearly as dour and depressing as NuBSG and it had more of the high action and mystery of TOS.

I liked it, and for these reasons:
1) Action.
2) Vipers.
3) Classic Cylon raiders.
4) Different characters (not a retelling.)
5) Adama was still idealistic, which gave it the idealistic tone of TOS.
6) Husker and Coker... some of that fun TOS Apollo and Starbuck banter.
7) You get to see more Battlestars.
8) The show is about how the humans win... for a change. :P
9) Prototype Six was very 80's Sci-Fi art concept interesting.
10) Liked the dogfight between Vipers/Raptors and Raiders over the ice planet.
8) Cylons are basically toasters.

Saw the Internet version. Overall, a good production, which surprised me as I wasn't that fond of the script. Some parts were a bit comic book-ish for my tastes but overall I thought they did a good job. It was much more "Galactica" than anything we've seen before.
Technically, I think it really was something of a breakthrough. The challenges these guys took on and overcame to put this on the screen were pretty remarkable.
I liked it. I'd like to see more.
All my best,
Russell

I watched it on Youtube. It was cool and I like the Galactica in that.
