It took place in the first story from the Maximun Press series IIRC.

Yes, that was when Max started out strong and turned out a commendable effort for its first few issues. Then unfortunately they kept trying to outdo themselves instead of letting things "breathe" a bit and by the end, they'd become unreadable.
