Who in BSG fandom would not like to see an arrival of sorts
of the colonials to modern Earth?

Am going to try and do this in CGI. Though I cant do everything I think of,
I may be able to get at least a feel.

Any feedback,suggestions for the video-story-

-- Story begins with Space Shuttle approaching the ISS- (Rendered)
-- am stuck right now on how to make the first appearance.
-- Am thinking of a cylon scout pass, then 2 vipers show up
to thwart any attempt of the Scout to report.
-- The Galactica is poised in the outer Solar System watching, waiting
to see if the Cylons are on their trail, following her.

New Update.

Now this is the whole shebang so far.

I may add some voice overs to the Gfx screens indicating the presence of a cylon raider.

Also, this I plan or hope to include a cylon incursion, with a response in Viper
Defense. And also, to include the SS and ISS in some way.

First appearance...damaged Viper, has to be picked up by the BSG, before it's orbit decays, and it burns up in the atmosphere. The rescue shuttle/Viper is seen, and photographed.

Thnks,

Here is an update. not entire vid I have but it has the changes and dialogue
so you can better understand the episode.

I plan on adding and trying to make this more than it is and with an epic battle
at the end.

Am coming up short on how to incorporate the human- or earthlings perspective.

As an original fan of the original, I have longed for more than 1 season.
And as an 11 year old, I was smitten by this show. Now, that I have learned
to use 3d apps and create effects I am continuing the saga of our brothers,
who even now fight to survive somewhere beyond the heavens.

Some nice ideas, some have said, but I was thinking of trying to tie in the Columbia Shuttle disaster as actually being caused by
the skirmish of Cylon Vipers or in some other manner.

More to come,,,, :D

I have had many thoughts, but what I desire eludes me.

Comments, tips, suggestions are welcomed, since I am making this as I go.
But, I thought it an episode worthy of playing with.

Engaging. Pleasing to the eye.

I liked the use of the ISS and the shuttle to set the scene.

Very shiny cylons.. :D:D nice reflections.

I expected your personal signature tune to be ACDC's Thunderstruck...:nervous::duck:

Used here for a different sort of extraterrestrial arrival :D;)

Looks great. The only real suggestion I could give is to work a bit more on the audio, I'm not really an audio guy myself, but there are probably folks here who could give you a few pointers on how to improve it.

If he does his audio like I do mine, then sometimes, for effect, he probably likes to use walkie-talkies for comms dialogue, because it provides that really dirty "ship to ship" or "ship to base" sound that you just can't really seem to get from audio editing (or even video editing) software.

One of the things I loved about the original Star Wars, and about the new BSG was that "dirty comm chatter" effect...especially when there were those harmonics in the voice, or just the out of phase effect.

Now, when I do want to go for a slightly cleaner comm chatter effect, I can go to my Magix Music Maker 16 program, and just hit "Old Radio" preselect on my graphic EQ panel. :)
