Layout of Battlestar Guns,, anyone know

hey all,

been trying to ponder my next project.


was thinking I may as well arm that Beautiful Battlestar by David Kerin, that
I defined a lil more.

So, I was wonderin if any one might know of what the gun/turrets weapons layout may be. Just something so I can get an idea of where to put
emitters on the ship.

along the launch bay trenches for sure...

I say then place them where you think they would get the best coverage ..

there is no hard evidence one way or the other as far as I know

Well, it may explain why I do not see any models with guns on them.

I did find some tech info on net once, all surmised am sure, but it was thorough, but I cannot find it again.

I just do as you suggest and as I have always done, Aim for Center Mass !

I never like the two large laser cannon on the side of the Galactica head area as mentioned in this site and seen in the second coming video... If I could choose a place to have them . it would be in the bottom central groove, I always thought it should have the more or most lethal weapons there.

On the side of the head (bottom) should be the more typical defensive weapons we already know about

here is a rough layout I would use for the main laser cannons ....

The red icons are the double Heavy laser and the smaller laser defiance cannons.

the yellow is only the smaller laser defiance lasers...... more could be added I think....

The Clip actually plays faster, I always get a time anomaly when doing GIF's,,, Hmmm, warning ... warning...

hell of a nice job....

I would place the heavy gun in the best location as possible.....

I like the trench cannons as they are protected by the ship superstructure.
the only weakness in that is they are vulnerable to attack ...... but its the destructive end of the weapons .......

I like the fact that while the large cannons (slower moving for fast attacking (possible one way to look at it) raiders at close range) and the smaller AA cannons are above or near them give some excellent cover.....

I have an idea (not seen in the show and therefor not canon) that the main cannons are within large turrets, shielded by a tough shell.

Odd that you say that about the turrets, the thought crossed my mind earlier today of maybe add like a shutter like aparatus opening up on the Big ship with
some missile launchers or Large weapons.

Nice. Good light sourcing from the Raider's lasers too. :)

I did something similar with my iClone Galactica, but, I only used heavy capital turrets and larger anti-starfighter defenses. Smaller guns, like CIWS would have to be their own separate set pieces.
