Do give them more credit than this, S2K. Please. Both Titon and Warrior are more ardent fans of BG than most could ever know.

I think there's a disconnect somewhere with information. We're hearing some things behind the scenes, as they are, too. We're not all on the same page. What I have is supposidely current information, per the source himself. But others are connected to sources of their own, who may know of things we aren't privvy to.

For everyone confused by this: I'm trying to get an actual statement to print about what's going on, if the people involved will do so. Right now, Ronald D. Moore and David Eick are working on their production; they're likely spending production $$ right now and have started the actual casting efforts.

New efforts by others to give viewers a BG show which fans would actually embrace don't appear to have worked. That's what I can say right now.

Reasons could vary or be combined.

1) He probably wants to use her and other Trek actors/actresses to lure in the the Star Trek Fans. (He sure doesn't seem to want the support from BSG fans)

2) Maybe they had a thing going on back when they worked together on DS9.

3) Maybe he left or is planning on leaving his wife and children and he wants to launch his new or (potentialy new) girlfriend's acting carreer by casting her as the lead in his next TV series.
