Here's a test video of a Klingon Bird of Prey attacking a TOS Federation shuttlecraft.

All models built and animated by me. :)

As suggested by a friend of mine at Reallusion forums, I switched up the camera angle of the Bird of Prey decloaking, to include the shuttlecraft in the background. Yes, both ships are to scale...so even against a BoP, the shuttlecraft is tiny.

I based scaling generally off of (whimper) Star Trek V. I scaled the original Constitution class to the Refit Enterprise, then scaled the shuttlecraft to the classic Connie, and then scaled the Bird of Prey to the refit Enterprise...so all ships are to scale to the best of my knowledge.

But this is just the TOS shuttle and the Klingon Bird of Prey. If I do say so myself, the cloaking/decloaking effect turned out really good....thanks to some creative compositing and color manipulation in Movie Edit Pro. I think there's still room for improvement, but for now, the cloak effect looks pretty durned good.

Pretty cool likes it.

but I was expecting the BoP to fly in from behind following the shuttle on opening :D

why IDK but did.

Nice job !

I agree....
Call it a snap fire opportunity target. :)

A klingon bird of prey attacking a defenseless shuttle craft? Where is the glory in that? This rates up there with the "Great Tribble War".

Target practice :D Young Captain, flying in a actionless area of space...needed something to shoot at. (At least the shuttle could run, giving him good sport.) :D :salute:

Possible, though I see shades of Star Trek V when the klingons took target practice on the Voyager probe (one not turned into a V'ger that could have shot back) :P and how bored those klingons were.

(two goals when I get back to the states... finish my colonial and klingon outfits.)
