I have a vague memory about this.....
The one I posted is a McQuarrie.
The other one could have been for novelized version by an Italian artist.
I will see if I can source that asap

Nice one Peter :)
that´s the one, I was way out with the Italian artist. I wonder where that
idea popped in from.

^^^ You may be thinking of Boris Vallejo, who did at least one BSG-related piece that I'm aware of, IIRC.

I'm not aware of that, I think you may be mistaken, but I'm willing to be proven wrong!

I'm not aware of any Galactica art by Boris Vallejo. I'd like to see his art on BG though. I'm only familiar with Frank Frazetta's work on Galactica.
Are these pics what we are talking about?

No ... I know Frank Frazetta's work and love the raw energy in them. But no :) I believe I got my wires crossed somewhere. I was in fact thinking of some early James Bond artists.
But I located this image, a version never saw until today.

Thanks to BST for splitting the thread so TBC gets to concentrate on the responses to his art postings.
Taranis, the red bits on the Mediascene cover are overlays added by the publication's graphics guys.
Legendary comic book artist Jim Steranko published it.

The Buck painting is distinctly Boris.
Needs some color though. Very bland, especially for a series whose look thrived on bright and contrasting color images.
All my best,
Russell
