First off, I had a poke around but couldn't seem to find a thread dealing with the book or anything else. So if this is in the wrong place...er, do your thing :)
I found a copy of the novelisation by Glen A. Larson and Robert Thurlow in a local charity shop and shelled out for it. Good nick and all the rest but I wanted to see how Galactica was written even if it was a novelisation. I've only read Hatch's third or fourth BSG book but this was quite good.
Bits that weren't in Saga of a Star World or indeed Boxey being a child that Serina rescues from Caprica, the destruction of the Colonies, the little tidbits like Adama's past with his wife and Adar or even the fact that Galactica-terms like centon, yahren etc were absent.
So there we have it. I somehow felt the need to share :salute:

I have it & still need to finish it. What I've read so far is excellent, though.
I also just got this:

Again, what I've read, I like...

I like to think it's worth the wait. Adama here feels more angrier than Greene played him, even in his revenge setting in "Lost Planet of the Gods". Starbuck's a lot more of a schemer and Apollo angrier...well, stressed.
Still, building your Vipers rocks and I'm inclined to post as a taster the opening chapter of Battlestar Pacifica and then get it done and on the site proper :)
anyway, get the book :D

To my surprise if not quiet delight away this week I found a copy of "The Cylon Death Machine", if anything the cover artwork is something and naturally considering how rare these books are to get (here in the UK anyway) I snapped it up. Can only assume it'll be up there with the Saga novelisation/novel.

I've rarely read Galactica and dabble in the writing so I'm sure Cylon Death Machine will be all that and more :) A bit of alright if you will

Check out this thread i put up in 2009 after I re-read the Saga novelization. It tells of all the strange things that either were in there or not and how they differed from the tv show...
