Last year, my good friend Monolith aka Mark, sent me some great cubits he makes, and didn't want anything for them, not even to be paid back for the postage. So I decided to make a little something for him in thanks and appreciation for the fabulous cubits.
I meant to share it with you all here, and well...I just kept getting side-tracked.

Yes, I love that design. It looks like a combination between the the armpatch, and the warrior pins worn on the collars of warrior uniforms, with a bit of mythology thrown in.
Very well done. :)

Thank you kindly gentlemen!:salute:
I'm honored that you all like it. :)
I did indeed throw in a bit of myth with a little Egyptian or Kobolian idea with the winged goddess above, and if you look at the image behind the patch, I also used the diamond shape Seal of Kobol as we see on Adama's medallion.
It was fun to create.

WOW! That is REALLY cool. I might even try to make an Adobe Illustrator vector adaptation of this - with your permission, of course.

Wow, thank you all.:salute:
Sorry for my tardy response but I have been unwell for the last three weeks with shingles. It got me bad this time around.
Anyway..I'm on the mend slowly and feeling a lot more like my ole' Siress self.
Yes, 137th Gebirg, You are most welcome to adapt my design as you would like to do. Please do share with us how it turns out!:)
Look forward to it.

Fantastic and thanks very much! I'll be hunkered down this weekend with the hurricane blowing through here so, provided I don't lose power, I'm going to give it a shot.
P.S. - Hope you feel better soon. :salute:

You're welcome.
Wishing you safety during the hurricane, i hope you won't be affected by it too much. I know how you must feel, as where i come from we have cyclones every summer, and we had our most massive and largest cyclone early this year, with cyclone Yasi. We were very lucky as it didn't affect us badly, but it too howled over us. The coastal towns further south of my town were the true victims. But I don't enjoy any cyclone anyway.
Good luck, and may the lords of Kobol be with you!:salute:

Thanks very much - most kind. :)
Well, I got this knocked out quicker than I thought. The most complex part was the winged woman at the top. I had to find another similar image online to get an idea of the internal details and I think the results look pretty good and I think I got the colors matched up accurately. I have attached a rendered 1300x1300 JPG, as well as a vector-based PDF which can be infinitely scalable if you want to print it out. Let me know what you think.
Thanks for this - it was a fun project. :salute:

Wow!! That's incredible!
That's looks probably much more in proportion to my hand painting.
And the egyptian goddess motif is very spot on too!
You did a wonderful job in such a short time, Kudos.:salute:
So what do you actually use this image for in digital form? I wasn't quite sure how you would get to utilize it?:duck:

Thanks very much! Not using it for anything in particular - I just wanted to make a digital-vector version of it to print out and hang on a wall. I'm into Egyptian and other esoteric symbolism and I just enjoyed reproducing it. Kind of a hobby of mine...

Well, I see that 137 has been applying his magic.
Firstly, this is a very cool patch. I really like it.
Secondly, any chance I can get a copy of the vector drawing. I just started with Adobe Illustrator (CS 5 version) and am liking what I'm finding so far. I'm pretty certain I'll find use for it sometime and if 137 has already done the grunt work ...
All my best,
Russell
