Does the D in Ronald D Moore really stand for Devin?

It'd explain a lot of the bs that's going on at the minute.

God, the D stands for Dowl! Never heard of that one before.

What was the conspiracy theory by the way? You have my interest peaked.

That TrekLord (Devin) on Sci-Fi's board might be the acursed RDM!

I think you might be right. He seems curious about feedback recently. Also in the KJ thread he is quoted as saying he would be on the forums.

However if Devin is not RDM and we end up watching the mini-series and see Devin's name in the credits we would look kind of stupid. If we make the wrong assumptions, then Bonnie and her bunch can easily call us a bunch of paranoids and take us less seriously. Devin may not be RDM. Keep that mind.

Devin is not Ronald D. Moore.

As for TrekLord. It was just an assumption at the time regarding the name "Devin" being the "D" in Ronald D Moore.

I nolonger believe that TrekLord is RDM but I know he is an unofficial spokesman for Moore on the Sci-Fi Forum (with 9 to 5 office hours I must add).

I'd be very suprised if Moore ever was to show his face again on any message forum. He knows as well as the fans did that he used the remake supporter for fan support and he down right lied durring Michael's Q&A at BSG.com (Obi wan Kenobi style) from a certain point of view. He knew back then that he was setting them up for betrayel.

Like I mentioned last month the BSG fandoms are being watched by an unbiased media. The last thing Moore needs is to post a message regarding the production and have the media, the execs and the other PTB witness 100 replies from 80 different angry fans.

That is where TrekLord comes in. A new means and a way for RDM to comunicate to the angry fans.

I do urge people to please read TrekLords first 2 post.

http://bboard.scifi.com/bboard/browse.cgi/1/5/531/316349

Then came the likes of 10 new Moore supporters that did nothing but try to pick fights among the fandom. One of them even stooped as low as to make physical threats to our friend Muffit.

http://bboard.scifi.com/bboard/browse.cgi/1/5/531/316371/1

Universal did get wind of the plants that were invading several message forums and then they were asked to stop.

Now TrekLord is all alone out there falsely trying to reach out to us so called "insane majoridy". Why the sudden 180 degree turn around?

He is also asking what could be rewritten to make the script better?

Here's my question: If Starbuck and Boomer were changed back to males and the sex was toned down a bit and it had more of a military acurate would it still be reconizeable as Battlestar Galactica?

This is a fact and I have been told by several different sources. Ronald D Moore truly believes that his Script is a master piece and he considors it one of his best work. So how much of it is he really willing to change in a script that he is so proud of?

Another fact is Moore was already in the process of losing power from TPTB after his betrayel was revieled in Filmjerk's article. He is now against the ropes from the 2 bad reviews of his script. The Trekers (who are not BSG fans) who are blindly following Ronald D Moore are small in numbers and are barely making a whisper. Even their Pro Moore petition are filled with anti Moore comments from the signatures. TPTB knows that and the ball is in our court.

IMHO if we continue to play along with TrekLord we might as well sign the death certificate to Battlestar Galactica.

Most things that KornFan and CaptainTripps had said are turning out to be the truth. What happened was some fans wanted instant proof or no support.

Most things that Ronald D Moore and TrekLord are saying are lies and there are some proof on the web to confirm this.

What I am saying is there is a good chance for the fans to finaly win but not if we lose focus and play into TrekLords game.

Mark my words keep up the fan resistance because we are finally on our way.

Scooter,

Thanks for the info. Is there something that fans should be doing besides e-mail, letters, and playing nice with the trolls? How can we kick this campaign into high gear?

Thanks.

Dave

I would just ignore the trolls. As for TrekLord I do Not consider him a troll but rather a worthy opponent to the revival in a Count Iblie kinda way..

This is mostly an educated guess and speculation but I think that he is out to convince false hope to the fans that were supporting a legitable remake with talks of rewrites and to kill any hope to the fans that only supports a continuation.

Also there is need to get new and more people active on the Forums. A couple of weeks ago I started contacting the old members from the Sci-Fi Board 1998 and on with e-mailable handles and provided them with links to filmjerk and Bsg.com .I got a few responses back through e-mails from members that were clueless and and unaware because they dropped out of the effort a few years ago. I am not putting them down. I was almost ready to drop out after April 3 of last year.

Anyway I only got through the first few pages of the Sci-fi forum before I got side-tracked. It be a good start if other members would go back and e-mail them and ask for support.

Also to any BSG fan that is very familier with all the Star Trek series should getting involved in the Trek Forums. Sure Ronald D Moore wrote some fine TNG episodes but let's remind them of the crappy episodes that he wrote in an articulate fashion and try not to bring BSG up unless they do first.:tos:

Most of all Trekers need to be reminded that Moore has not only Killed Kirk but did so in such a lame manner. Think about it Captain Kirk survived the impossible through the original 79 episodes. He defeated Kahn. He escaped the Klingon Prison Ice Planet on ST6 and after all that how does Ronald D Moore write his death scene? Captain Kirk meets his death by jumping for a remote control of some broken bridge on a distant preindustial planet.

With a deep voice, "Borrrrrring".

Trekers need to be aware of the situation before they blindly follow Moore.

Also it about time to start speaking out against David Eick as well as Moore because from what I am hearing, he's the ones who is currently pulling the strings on the production.

Another good method would be to get that Fan-Force site up and Running and updated from time to time.

One snail mail letter = 50 people, by Universal's thinking. That's a fact which I've been told.

Start writing, folks. And get others to do the same. E-mail isn't taken as seriously.

Yup Darrell, your right.

I've got 3 different projects on the go right now with another on the way and one finishing up but I will try to get more info to you.

One of these projects is the Radio Galactica play that we still have on the go.

I wish there were 3 of me ;)

"As for this TrekLord character, I have reasons to believe that he is a conduit to the powers to be. Instead of stirring false hope to this person and making him believe that Moore’s script is repairable, just politely tell him that a continuation is the best bet."

Translation - TrekLord is a legit Employee of Universal.

I say it's time for all fans, I am talking Everyone to politely respond "We want Tom DeSanto" to anything and everything that TrekLords post at the Sci-Fi Board.
We need a lot of people to do this.
