What's your favorite line from the series? Mine would have to be when Boomer says, "You gall-monging snitrat!"

Well, I have a few that I have always liked:

"Lord, I'll do anything you want tomorrow, just don't call an alert tonight!" Starbuck

"When Commander Adama sees these, he's gonna go crazy!" Col. Tigh

"That was my son, Mr. President" Com. Adam

"Might as well live for today, we might not have many left" Starbuck

I only wish I could quote accurately even though I've just ran through the series this past two months.

Adama: "May I suggest we launch a welcoming reception of our own?"

Starbuck (after crashlanding): "Give her a wash fellas!"

Starbuck (to the singers in Saga): "Hey you're my ticket out of the military!"

Adama (on Baltar): "The tongue of an angel, the soul of a serpent."

Starbuck: Apollo, what do you plan on doing for living quarters after you're married?
Apollo: Oh, well, I am so excited. I just found this place in the Astradon freighter. With a little paint and some nice curtains, it's so cozy!
Starbuck: You always were good with color.
(after the female warriors continue talking in the background)
Apollo: Mmm, you'll never believe what I found. I just found some Valcron in the Tip Barge.
Starbuck: Really? The soft, translucent kind?
Apollo (effeminately): Absolutely stunning!
not so much a fav' quote as how it's delivered

Apollo (in response to Boxey's question about Dr Ravashol): "No, he's not God. Not if he's working for the Cylons."

Cylon: These humanoids are not well constructed. They damage easily
Starbuck: At least we don’t rust.

Starbuck: I like the way you haven't gone overboard on furniture." (strikes match on Cylon)

Baltar: "Burn Galactica! You're finished, Adama!"

Cylon: I suggest you look at the other Battlestar
Baltar: What are you babbling about?...It's impossible!
Cylon: No, it is another Battlestar

Apollo: “She said I’m insensitive.”
Starbuck: “You? If she thinks you’re insensitive where does that leave me?”

Starbuck: “Get off before I take you down that flight tube with me!”
Apollo: “Fine! But I never thought I’d see Starbuck run from anything!”

Michael: Apollo, what's a centon?

"There are those who believe... that life here... began out there. Far across the universe. With tribes of humans... who may have been the forefathers of the Egyptians... or the Toltecs... or the Mayans... that they may have been the architects of the Great Pyramids... or the lost civilizations of Lemuria... or Atlantis... Some believe that there may yet be brothers of man... who even now fight to survive...

---

went a bit OTT but there's a few singular lines that I like timed with moments, Starbuck's "drop it or I'll incinerate you!" in Experiment in Terra, Sheba's impassioned speech in Hand of God "You think you're the only one..." or even when Adama asks what the four were doing up in the dome and they look at each other. "Just stargazing..."

Boomer: "Just keep it up, old buddy, you're going to get us in real trouble."

Starbuck: "Ten thousand light years from nowhere, our planet shot to pieces, people starving, and I'm going to get us in trouble?"

And:

Boomer: "Every creature in the universe is out to exterminate us and you want to hire a vocal group."

I'd like to add, as I couldn't remember it earlier :) the following:

"...You should see this baby as from the air when she slips across the sky...unless it happens to be your base ship!"

GREAT choices! I recently watched the premiere and had to re-watch and re-watch Colonel Tigh's "When Commander Adama sees these, he's gonna go crazy!"

Here's a short but sweet one:

(Lucifer) "Not exactly."

Followed, of course, by:

(Baltar) "Not exactly?!"

And:

(Lucifer) "Control yourself, my friend. You'll blow a circuit--or I believe you call it a blood vessle. Really quite flimsy compared to--"

(I may have that last quote wrong. It's been a while...too long a while.)

Baltar (deviously): It will drive Adama crazy!
Lucifer (muttering): He is not the only one.

Great one! Lucifer had some hilarious lines.

On my way home just now I was listening to a CD I made of LPotG and heard this fun line from Starbuck in response to Baltar telling him that the Cylons were now "our friends":

"Really? Well, then you won't mind my leaving with the good news."

And because it's utterly impossible to pick ONE favorite line (sorry, skippercollecto!), in "Baltar's Escape," Maga tells Baltar that his "record to date does not exactly inspire confidence" to which Baltar responds:

"I had...incompetent followers."

there's so many to pick from but anything that Sheba came up with was one of my favorites but the all time favorite is:

"Poor Starbuck! Oh Well, he's still got Athena, and Miriam and Noday"

"What are our chances?"

"About as good as the Cylons throwing me a birthday party." Boomer--Fire In Space.

"Mushies!" Apollo

"Mushies? What do mushies have to do with explosives?" Starbuck

"Now, that is precision flying!" Athena says this on the bridge in Saga of a Starworld.

and from Starbuck in Saga of a Starworld "Oh, Frack!" :D

Your Athena quote instantly made me think of another:

In LPotG, Athena takes off after Starbuck to help him engage Cylon raiders. He protests but she tells him that a wingman sticks to a leader at all time. Startbuck agrees and warns her not to shoot him (accidently, in crossfire).

ATHENA: "Just keep it up, Starbuck. Keep it up..."

Personally, I said "felgercarb" several times in 1980. And that's no felgercarb, either. ;)

I heard felgocarb mentioned a few times in BSG80, firstly in Galactica Discovers Earth Part III when Dillon misses the V2 with his blaster. It's frack that was once or twice uttered. :)

And many times off screen

I came across this one last night. From "Long Patrol":

CORA: May I land us, or do I have to go through a bouncer?

Punisher454

Marco: Friends? Oviners got no friends!

I like that one so much its my signature. I also use it to occasionally tease my kids when they say they want to go see their friends.

"We found out the hard way that the opposite of war is not peace, but very often slavery."
-Captain Apollo.

That quote is one of many reasons why I love Battlestar. I love, respect, and admire a lot of peace advocates in our history, but I can't help but imagine someone telling Churchill to "give peace a chance" as London was being bombed and him saying "love to my friend, but I just don't think it is in the cards".

Baltar - It's just a Cylon welcoming party, no need to be alarmed.

Adama - Perhaps we should send out a "welcoming party" of our own?

As I've gotten older, I've really come to appreciate the guile and planning of Adama. An amazing warrior.

Starbuck- That must be why you're the Captain!
