Fascinating story, and that explains a lot about how badly Marvel served Galactica beyond the simple fact that they refused to adapt any of the stories beyond LPOTG and thus deprived their universe of so many vital characters and elements (Sheba, Cain, Iblis etc.)

DC not Marvel. If it's not Shellhead, then I don't read Marvel.

I don't think I've ever "revisited" a single Battlestar Galactica comic. It was difficult enough getting through them the first time around.

Thanks for sharing that bit of info, Peter--I usually read those columns but for some reason skipped that one.

When it comes to comics, Max Press's earliest issues and Realm Press were the only ones to get the essence of Galactica right. It's too bad that Max just fell apart with its overobsession with "big" stories culminating in its insulting "Journey's End" story that represented a stupid reboot of the whole storyline that ended the series altogether, and that Realm couldn't stay afloat. Dynamite's garbage though makes Marvel's subpar effort seem like works of art by comparison.

I never read comics. Maybe now I know why.
