What a great article! I found the guys attitude towards the source material respectful and refreshing. It's a wonder he ever got a job in Hollywood. ;)

I only have vague memories of UFO. My local stations didn't rerun it very much. However, being a fan of Space 1999, I wanted to purchase the mega set when it was released a few years back, but the price for that set was outrageous. I checked the price on Amazon after reading this and it's now less the thirty bucks! I told my wife and now I'm getting something for Christmas that I actually want. It's a Christmas miracle!

OMG that is the best news since the remake of 'The Invaders' with Scott Bacula DIDN'T spawn a series.
I LOVE UFO and rewatch the DVD boxset regularly. Ed Bishop's 'Ed Straker' was a superb dark character, second only to Roy Thinnes portrayal of David Vincent in my opinion.
This is just great news! Something to look forward to, thanks for posting.
