View Full Version : California Disneyland Meet Up

Okay fellow Colonial Warriors citizens and Cylons alike...this year is coming to a near end and some of us have been planning on an UnOfficial CF meet up at Disneyland in California.
My wife and I are going on November 23rd (Monday) during the week of the Thanksgiving holiday (USA). My wife and I are planning an intimate dinner at the Blue Bayou restaurant at 4 or 5 o'clock.
I would like to see if we can coordinate a place and time to get together for about an hour to fellowship and see what happens next.
Meeting up in Tomorrowland sounds appropriate for us.

I'm planning on heading out that way early next year. We might see if we can do some sort of huddle then with a few folks.
All my best,

I do believe I will also have to dust off my Annual Pass as well. Was planning to attend sometime during the holiday season anyway. The decorations are quite amazing for the season. Saw them last year and was blown away.
Getting a group to meet at the House of Mouse sounds like an awesome idea Kronus. :salute:
Just one small issue for me to resolve. I had put in for vacation from work for the week of Thanksgiving (Mon-Wed) but have not gotten final approval just yet. If I am approved, I'm in! It would be great to meet up with fellow Warriors from the great Colonies...er...Fleets. ;)

If you mean early like in February...Monolith and I (and a few others too) are planning to attend the Condor Con in San Diego on the 26th thru the 28th. Hopefully we will all have our Colonial Warrior outfits done by then...we are starting our promotion of the Blackstar Squadron there (getting a table there) as a precursor to the Official launching at Comic Con in July.

Oh man I hope you get it! You should...not much is usually going on during that time of year for most businesses.

Kronus,
I don't have the firm dates yet. Prob more like March but realistically, it could be anywhere from Jan to June. I will advise folks when the time gets closer.

We look forward in hearing from you on this mate...you have to lbe sure to tell us so we can plan a get together...Killer Pizza from Mars!
Hey Monlith...when Russell wrestles down a date and time, let's reserve a huge table at one of the Killer Pizza from Mars places and get us So.Cal Warriors together to throw him a REAL Colonial party. By that time you and I should have the majority of our uniforms done.

If you don't, believe me, you'll be missed. :(
That goes for the rest of ya too! :(
So if you are able to...do not give this a second thought...mark your calendars...set aside the needed funds and come out and meet up with some of the members of the Colonial Fleets!

If I still lived out there, I'd be there, but won't be able to make it. It's a bit of a drive from Houston to Disneyland (though I was there two months ago).

Okay, we are roughly 20 days from our trip so I wanted to see who may show up. So far the following are going to be here:
Kronus (Me - John)
CBSG4ever (Steve)
Monolith21 (Mark)
Matador
Warrior, do you think you still may be able to swing it?
Also can someone verify where the oBSG poster is located? I remember seeing it and I believe there are tables where it is located but for some reason I am drawing a blank. I know we would agree this would be a great spot to meet up at.
The time would have to be (for me) after 6 pm (preference) or around 2 pm (2nd preference).
Post your confirmation and a time you would like to meet up at the oBSG poster.

Hey gang,
Apologies for not getting back sooner about this guys. I have been quite busy lately and thought I would touch base on this. I am so there for this and really need a break from reality :D. Was wondering if this is still a "go" and how many are able to make the trip. Would be awesome to meet up with some of the folks here from Fleets. :salute:
Best to everyone.

That's OK Bro. I actually left a bit early, around 7:00pm. My feet were killing me and I was to meet up with my friend but she was tired from work. We just went to Souplantation and chilled out watching "Up". Funny movie BTW. I should have called you & let you know but I got tied up with things. Apologies Bro. I hope Monolith is better. I actually picked up a bug the Saturday after Turkey Day. Just went back to work today. :/: Hope Disney was good to you. ;) As they say, "another time". :salute:

February 1st
March 1st
March 15th
April 12th
These are all on a Monday but if there are any other suggestions please list them here so we can coordinate.

Well guys, looks like you'll have to count me out until 2011.
Its about 90% certain that I'm heading out to Afghanistan for a year. I'll probably be heading to the San Diego and LA area sometime around Mar-May 2011.
All my best,
Russell

Well Russell let us know and we can meet up here in San Diego when you get here...even if it is for a few hours of many days...between Steve, Mark, and I someone will be here to hang with you!
ALERT! ALERT! We are doing another Colonial Warrior trip to Disneyland this coming Monday, April 26th. Come one and all. CBSG4ever and I will be there and we would love to have all of you with us too.

Update for me.
I've been enjoying Afghanistan (also known as Paradise) for a few months now. An April 2011 return is pretty much locked down. My schedule is quickly getting fixed for taking the grandchildren shortly after that, going to Europe for a month after that, and then having to go to a wedding, which I figure I can't get out of since I'm the groom. I may be heading to the Left Coast towards the end of the year but a trip to DC and another to Boston seems to be putting a damper on that. Going to California will depend almost entirely if I can arrange a business meeting with some folks out there but if so, I'll ensure I block off some time for a meet and greet in the land of Mickey. (Haven't been on the California Pirates ride in about 35+ years so that would just about be worth the trip in itself).
Also, Ron Moore owes me a beer (or I owe him one) and presuming he doesn't still despise the very fabric of my soul for all the nasty things I've said about him and GINO, I may try to collect. (If the Iraqis can reconcile, the likes of us probably still can).
Will keep everyone posted.
All my best,
Russell
P.S. For Lang, this really means that we'll all be arranging a secret Universal Studios conspiracy meeting to try to figure out how to defeat you and the power of your master command center in the heart of the basement of your mother's house.
