Well I have restarted this yesterday .. I am basing it more on this image by Ralph Mcquarrie. I am not sure how long this will take as RL take up my free time

And so it begins...

Can't wait to see it. Always loved McQuarrie's designs. They certainly showed the designs that became the models, but they had a certain throwback to that cool "space art" of the day. The man has a style.

God-speed Earth Man!

Ooh Baby!

Love the underside angle. It has an interesting proportion in the McQuarrie design that was toned down for the shooting model. Always loved McQuarrie's work and you're capturing it here!

Can't wait for more!

I remember that shot - the book has it the other way up though! And called it a starhound fighter.

I'm not sure on length. I think I've heard the ship is a mile long, but don't know how exact that was.

Many years ago I did make a Starhound Viper, and it may be lost. It's the only one not on the Colonial Fleets site and not sure where I would have it backed up. Wasn't super detailed though. I actually think the Master Control Program assimilated it. Darn you MCP! Where's Tron when you need him.
