As my long overdue first post here at the forums on Colonial Fleets, I'd like to share a few pictures of the sculpture for my replica Imperious Leader mask a professional costume designer made for me.
I think he did a brilliant job so far, but please, see four yourselves:

Thank you.
The resin headpiece and the red robe will be added soon.
A throne/pedestal display is in the works as well...

That's some fantastic work there.
Can't wait to see it when it's finished.

It could be the wife of the Imperious Leader, indeed...
By the way, here's the latest update for my replica Imperious Leader:
First of all, the negative mold came out great.
On the contrary, the first attempt of making a cast out of it wasn't very successful, because it wasn't dried properly.
Nevertheless, we've now an object to work with to make various tests like painting, where and how to install the electronics for the eyes etc.
The latter we've done to achieve a little sense of success.

In my opinion, it doesn't look bad at all... surely, it's still just a test, but it delivers a good impression of how the eyes will look like (in the final version, the cat's eye-styled slit in the pupils will be added, too).
Sorry for the low-quality pic, but I'd to take it with my mobile phone...
I hope I can deliver better news after my next visit...

Peter, do you maybe have more pictures of the Imperious Leader?
I'd also gladly share the pics I've collected so far with you in return.

I wish I had. The best person to ask is MAD in this thread http://www.colonialfleets.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16927
He's got a BSG pics collection that's the envy of any fan.
Another person to ask would be Chris Pappas who is also a member here. What Chris doesn't know about the original BSG isn't worth asking. He should really write a book on it.

Very nice... But did you get the voice box to make you sound like Patrick Macnee?

Yes, Chris is a true expert, indeed.
I've also recently asked both MAD and Chris about the Leader and I'd gladly share the pictures I've obtained from them, if you don't already know them...

Originally, I had nothing planned of inegrating sounds or voice boxes into the display... but it would be a very nice addition as well...
Furthermore, the pedestal would provide enough storage room for speakers...
Maybe I have to rethink about it...
