Casting Call: Apollo

Okay, so with the little feed back I got, we are moving forward with one casting call a week, followed by a three week voting time. So, we will start with Apollo, with the poll coming out next Friday or Saturday.

I will try to keep up to date with the nominated acters with small thumbnail pictures for better visual aids for people that may not be familiar with a particular name or face or both.

Just a note on Hatch and the other original actors. The idea when this started was who would we want to see in a BSG film if it was remade. As stated in another thread, if this was indeed a continuation, all the regular original acters should be used, but if a remake, who would we like to see fill the roles.

I will put Hatch up there, just like I put Terry Carter up on the Tigh poll, But like Carter, if this ends up being a remake, Hatch might be a little too old to play a young Apollo.

Added a few names, though after seeing his picture, I don't really see Adrian Grenier as Apollo. But I could maybe see him as Zac.

Brandon Routh would be not bad as a YOUNG Apollo based on his appearance.
But indead my personal opinion would be as said above. Keeping Richard as Apollo but at the age he should be now. I think it would work better if he were now Commander as he is in TSC trialer. Guess I just prefer such a story line.:salute:

Again, I am right there with all the people that want a continuation! If that is indeed what we get, I want all possible acters returning to their respective roles.

In truth, as much as I want a continuation, the odds of that happening now are very small... even without the same actors coming back. Remember, some may not even want to do it.

Add in the studio's limited ability to think and you can't help but believe that if this takes flight, it will be a remake.

Plus for this exercise, it only makes sense to think remake. If we are thinking continuation, then there is no point in nominating actors we think might work in a new incarnation of BSG.

Again, this is just for fun... a what if... its not scientific... it will not determine or hinder anything that the studios will do. Its just for us to play with.

So i think it will be a remake (reboot) the story new again

in style and elements from the old Galactica (space opera).

Sorry. In my hurry this morning, I missed this.

I think a next gen story could be good, or even a prequel, dealing with life in the colonies and their run ins with the Cylons, too.

Ah well. We'll just have to wait and see what happens!
