Okay... they are screwing around with a really bad idea for a remake of BG....We know that....BUt have you heard about one of heir other projects?
So far they are gearing up to produce Alexander the Great at a estimated cost of $150 million. The title role will star Leonardo DiCaprio as Alex and it looks highly possible Nicole Kidman will be his mom.
Oh god... THIS is consuming their money?
Can you smell the bomb already?

Perhaps the better question is this:
Does Universal have the capability to think?

Never believe a company when they say there are low on cash? Hell Hatch raised 40 million didn't he, just to get a few seasons of BG started and they still blew him off??? What is there beef is what i want to know. Maybe we should get Lee R. Ermey the D.I. from "Full Metal Jacket" to give the TPTB a wake up call.
Lee R. Ermey: (To Universal's TPB) What is your major malfunction you puke stains! don't you know how to run your own damn company?
TPTB: Well we....
Lee R. Ermey: Shut up numb nuts speak when spoken to dumb ass
TPTB: Listen you can't talk to us like that we run a huge movie and Television entertainment industry and we..
Lee R. Ermey:Open your mouth again sonny and i will skull **** you do you understand you sorry excuse for a TV executive. Eye ball me again and i tear you up like a kleenex at a snot party.
TPYB: Sir yes SIR !!!....
Lee R Ermey:You will get you act together and revive this Battlestar Galactica franchise son or so help me you'll join Rupert and Ted over there cleaning toilets (Rupert and Ted wave while cleaning toilets)
TPTB: Gulp!
Lee R. Ermey:Now we understand each other. Diller! Drop and give me 300 push ups!!!.....you too Hammer! :D :D :D
All in good humor folks we wish it were true, have a good one.

Yeeek. Universal is pretty numb in the head to turn that kind of $$ backing PLUS the fan support down. Had no idea he'd gotten that far along. Gives one good hope for GWoM though.
