Yeah, I checked the forum home. I guess I'm just use to forums that are constantly active, like the one at startrekphase2.com, where I'm a moderator, and Daz3D.com, where there are always several pages worth of updated threads every morning when I get up.

This forum in about BSG TOS and as you know it does not exist anymore so activity is sporatic.

sgtglennsmith - Hello there.

I'm one of the Dazaholics over at 3DGladiators.com.
There are a few of us over there and the site has some nice p4 props that can easily be converted to work with the Mil People.

I do my modeling (which I suck at) in 3DsMax v8 and I used to do my space shots in Lightwave v.9 but since I found a way to get LWO quality (or very close depending on how critical you are) out of my Carrara Pro 6 I've been doing over 90% of my animating in that app.

Feel free to bounce a rock off my head over at the sister site.
I'm usually there through out the day and since I spend a lot of time animating I'm usually also at a computer or two.

On the hangover thing --- You know, when you brew your own beer you never get a hangover. Or at least I haven't had one yet and I've brewed some pretty strong beers. :rotf:

Right now I'm carbonating a batch of Vienna Lager with an abv of 9.2%.

I don't do any 3D modeling. I don't know how, and I have no time to learn. I'm trying to finish the first draft of a Star Trek novel I'm co-writing, plus working on book 2 of my Solfleet series, plus planning a Solfleet online graphic novel for my website -- that's the reason for my 3D addiction -- plus co-writing 2 scripts for Star Trek: Phase II, plus moderating our forum there...

Oh yeah, I have a full-time job, too.

All of which leads me to this:
I am desperately in need of a good 3D modeler/texturer who can build my Solfleet ships from my designs and convert them for use in Daz/Studio & Poser, and who is willing to allow me to retain the copyright, and who has the time to do the work. I've found willing people, but they never seem to have the time to do it. I cannot pay this person, but I'd like to put the products up for sale at Daz or Rendo or wherever, and the artist would certainly get a share of the money made - 50% OR MORE (I know it's a lot of work). I know it's a lot to ask, but if anyone is interested, let me know.

lets have a look at one design

As soon as I receive one from the guy who's doing the illustrations, which will be copyrighted, I'll make it available to prospective artists to look at.
