It is definately available in Australia now for region 4, and I probably read about this here on another thread, but I am now considering getting Mission Galactica and wanted to know what exactly is different about this movie?
I know it's based on the tele ep of "Living Legend", but are there extra scenes in it or are there scenes cut out of it?
A little assist someone?

Mission Galactica is mainly The Living Legend, with parts of Fire in Space thrown in at the end.
Small segments of The Living Legend are deleted, plus some additional footage from the telemovie version are included, although I can't remember which ones. The most notable footage involves Cassie. In the segment where Caine turns on his little monitor, and shows Sheba saying "Happy Birthday," the footage of Cassiopeia saying "you old wardaggit" comes right after that. That segment with the video is broken into two parts in the original episode.

Another added scene is the recon launch on board the Pegasus. At least this was on the VHS version that I have. Not having the DVD, I can't say what additional ones are in it.

Just saw this for the first time last night! I think I like it more than the televised version of "Living Legend". It plays well as a film. I also dug that they sent a shuttle for Starbuck and Apollo when they were floating in space.

I was visiting family in Ohio when this was first released on cable and saw it at my aunt's house. God bless her, she and my mother even made themselves scarce so I could audio record it. It wasn't "pure" BG but it was dang close and a thrill to see, as BG was off the air and not even in syndication if memory serves.
