This is an engine test together with some vectorsteering and AI bound together as a teaser Demo.. and I hope this will atleast get someone enthousiastic...

Try it.. but first read the manual..


It's by no means a complete game but I hope I can convince you I can write a decent piece of code.... maybe some of you are willing to draw for me :D

I just downloaded and played the game.

A good start. But near impossible to control with the keyboard. I found it very hard to do anything with my Viper but spin round in circles and hope I ended up facing the right way. Maybe this should be described as a mouse only game at present?

I never managed to hit a single raider with a missile !

At the end give some sort of Game Over screen.

I didn't like how the game controls my speed. I don't think I was ever hit my Cylon fire, I just kept crashing into their ships. I didn't know when I would die, as there was not 'health meter' or whatever to show my status.

Personally I would prefer this to be a keyboard game, where I control my speed, can fire further, and raiders don't go so fast, and I can tell how far from death I am.

I hope these suggestions are worthwhile, I'm really looking forwards to seeing how this develops from Demo V0.1 to a stunning contribution to the fanbase.

Ithe controlls are nog fine tuned yet, and the AI of the raiders is set to MAX since it's an engine test , to see if the aiming works..

I'm polishing the engine right now since a game should run "smooth"

BUT.. I need artists... there should be a LOT more in the game but without art I can't do much ..

Anyone can help..
When it's finished I'll put up a link here ;)
