With all of the talk around the Athena doll I thought I would start a poll and send the results to Majestic. They want to hear from fans so let's give it a shot!
This poll will close in 30 days.

I voted for bridge blues. I like the last idea about having other outfits, but is there really a market for additional Athena doll clothing? Probably not. So, I stuck with the safe blue uni...unless they include the Warrior outfit in the box!!!!

Any word on whether the Athena figure will have rooted hair (like Barbie) or molded hair (like Apollo/Starbuck)?

I decided to pick the ol' bridge blues. Depending on how well the first issue Athena figure sells, Majestic Studios can always produce a warrior uniform variant Athena. BTW, bring on Sheba(warrior uniform & paratrooper versions)!!! Anne looked good in that leather. She wasn't a slouch in the warrior's uniform, either.

No idea on the rooted hair.
Time ans Space Toys are taking pre-orders for Athena and Boomer now. Just ordered mine!

I'll definitely be buying both Athena and Boomer, as I have all the 12" Galactica figures thus far (original series), but I've found better values, even with shipping included, on eBay (if one is patient). I won Adama for $26 (includes shipping) a while back....
Is Majestic's website off-line? I have not been able to find it recently.
Oh, concerning the vote; I would vote for the Athena figure to be in the navy bridge's officer uniform. And rooted hair....

OK, while we are at it, there are absolutely some more figures that need to be made. Here's my list:
Jolly!!!

According to the pre-order over at Time and Space, the description says that both Athena and Boomer will be dressed in their viper pilot uniforms and come with helmet, etc. So, that seems to indicate that Athena will be in her Warrior brown uniform..
any update on this?

I voted bridge blues, but I could go with the warrior tans too.

Well, whatever she's dressed as, I just pre-ordered my Athena doll! My birthday is coming up soon and I am going to spend a little cash to get the Starbuck and Adama. Should be cool...

The CEO at Majestic told me on Saturday that he was not certain, but he was leaning that way and asked for input.

Well, I think the overwhelming majority of 15 people say that we want her in the bridge blues!!!

I was the single vote for the tan Warrior uniform. I don't think that we saw Athena wear that much except in "Saga" and "Lost Planet of the Gods".
I do like the blue uniform, it's just that she looked so stunning in the tan uniform. I'll bet getting it to look as good on the figure as it did on the actress would be quite a challenge.
I'm not in favor of the "rooted hair" - it makes the figure seem more like a Barbie doll than a display figure. That, and the results I've seen on some 12" figures with rooted hair just ruin my enthuisasm for buying one.
Tan....blue.....either one would be fine.
Best,
Bryan

My preference is for rooted hair, particularly with the long-haired female characters of BSG. Molded hair on a figure with long hair tends to go for a shorter style.
Here are some examples of some very nicely done rooted-hair figures from Takara & BBI's Cool-Girl/Cy-Girl line.
