Actor Barnard Hughes, best known for his roles in the TV series' "Doc" & "Blossom"(he portrayed Blossom's grandfather), as well as the films "Cold Turkey", "Tron", & "The Lost Boys" passed away July 11 just a few days short of his 91st birthday.

He is also well remembered for the title role in the 1983 tv series "Mr. Merklin".

It was actually spelled Barnard Hughes with an a in the first name.

He had a very long, productive career. I think my favorite role of his was his appearance on "All In The Family" as a priest whose car Edith has accidentally dented with her runaway shopping cart.
