I'm using the actual episodes and bits of Mission Galactica: The Cylon Attack, so the film quality is different – vhs to DVD and DVD.

The hologram scene is back in the first scene in Cain's quarters and I've added a couple of FX shots, the Pegasus shuttle taxiing in the G's launch bay and the two battlestars heading off after the Gammoray shuttle has taken off.

There's another FX sequence to add.

I wanted to include the cut Apollo and Sheba scene in the launch bay, but I think I know why it was cut. The signage on the bay is for the Pegasus and there's no logical bridging scene as to why Apollo should be on the Pegasus. In the actual episode, Sheba's in the Galactica's officers' club when she sees Cassie and leaves with Apollo trailing after her.

Felgercarb!

Anyway, it doesn't differ that much from the broadcast version just that one scene in the right place and the extra FX froom Mission.

The hardest thing is going to be the credits because they're not exactly the same for the two episodes.

I haven't seen Mission Galactica for some time; didn't it (slightly) expand/extend the scene(s) where Cain takes on the three base ships? In the original episode, IMO that battle was way too brief. Not sure what could have been cut out of the second hour to make way for more FX, though.

Sounds real interesting, can't you "Photoshop" out the sign?

Peter, PM me. If you can get me the Apollo/Sheba footage, I can remove the Pegasus signage and replace it as needed.

Has anyone thought of attempting this with Saga Of A Star World? The scenes with Starbuck wrangling cubits out of Boomer & Jolly(shirt on, Mr. Swartz) and Apollo & Zac would be cool to see re-inserted.

Another possibility to use for Saga is the alternate angle for Zac's approach to the fleet. Where his ship is destroyed a few feet from the landing bay.

The audio track could be used from the original and inserted in the alternate footage. Give the scene more drama and an even bigger sense of tragedy with Zac being so close yet so far away.
