galactica 2003: how many seasons - and the future?

at this time, the new galactica series is to be shown on german for the first time.
my question: how many seasons exists until today in the U.S.A and what is known about the future: will the series goes on until the audience rating is to low?
(or is this question already answered in another part of the forum?)

Something you need to know right away is that we do not discuss the 2003 show here. We made a decision a few months ago to not allow that discussion, for a number of reasons.

We are here to discuss the original Battlestar Galactica, and only the original Battlestar Galactica.

If you are an artist, though, and you build 3D models of ships that include the new show, then we can discuss your modeling - but not the show.

I hope that's clear to you. I know on-line translators can mess up sometimes.
