Well, it doesn't look anything like my first LW-Mesh.
Mine looke more like fragged up kindergarden paper model. *g

Very nice start. Hell if this is your start in LW... can't wait to see what's coming up a few weeks down the line. *G

great mesh do use luminosity for engines or lights? ( im playing with luminosity n translucency on mine as more lights mean nipping for a few pints when rendering)
im building a couple of basic transport ships as im new to lightwave having moved up from truespace am i better off using nurnies or textures on meshes in lightwave.
found textures n bump maps alright in truespace but just not cutting mustard in lightwave any one good at hull plate textures put up a lightwave tutorial for us amateur noobs
cheers

Yes I use Luminosity on the engines or Lights depending on the scene .. but as I am still new to the field of modeling your guess is a good as mine :) Hypervoxels are the other way to go..... :)

The best place to lessons is at _http://members.shaw.ca/lightwavetutorials%20/Main_Menu.htm
_http://www.lwg3d.org/v3/index.htm

As they are dedicated sites to Lightwave ..
You can change the bump map setting in Lightwave have your tried that ..

also when your at lwg3d look up Magma's textures in the resources area ,, you have to be a member there also .
put that no problem .. any question you can get answers there also ..
