** Chime** . . . . . dude . . . . :D
I like you already . . . . . . this is a very very good start. I am completely jealous. This is a nicely done mesh, I must say that the edges are a bit too sharp for me but none the less, this is going to be outstanding I can tell.

Question, where did you get the info for building this model? I have been looking on the net but I can't find any good images of the Pegasus. I saw some really bad screen grabs somewhere once, but nothing good enough to glean good details from.

What program are you useing to put this together . . . If you say lightwave you win ;)

One statement I must make tho' . . . . I am not going to let you get away with a low poly version . . . No No . . . :Nsalute: this is going to be Full bore baby . . . . . fat with polygons. I think you are th only person this side of Zoic who has attempted to do this model, I am not sure on that but I think it is a fair bet.

Anyway I have an eye on this thread . . good luck borg@wolf .. . .
I think I ran into you at SFM . . . small 3d world . . . . .
OH! . . . and one more thing . . . .

Welcome to Fleets

That looks well good, keep going.

Just a little thing, perhapse the engine section could be a bit wider, seems a little tall and thin. But then again, ive only just started posting here too so what do the rest of you think? Im liking it!

Can't say in this thread. It'd take away from the art. (I also wouldn't explain why I don't like other ship designs as well, like the new "Enterprise" design.... them subjects is for other threads ;) )

That's some real nice CGI work there......

I can't manage that kind of art, but it's coming along pretty good though. Does the "peggy" really have landing bays underneath the main bays? I never noticed them before. As for the design, it makes me wonder if the Pegasus is newer or older than the Galactica. The Pegasus seems to be a bit more "chunky" than the Galactica is, but who really knows, right?

Keep up the good work!

As soon as this "Beast" is finished, a nice conversion to lightwave would definately be in order! This is just looking absolutly mint and I would love to make some scenes using this baby.

Im using the jaspers galactica converted to lightwave at the moment practicing with making flak cannons/explosions and missiles. lots of volumetrics. Would love to add this! All thats needed is a nice basestar for the beast and bucket to destroy and ill be having a whale of a time!

I have a couple of weeks booked off work, might have a go at the basestar myself. Although im more of a layout person, id like to get started on modelling. Could be a challenging project!

Keep it up man, loving the work!

Actually this could be a shoe in for the colonial bomber I was thinking of. If you were to think of it's scale in terms of the landing bays being big enough for just one single Viper. All you would need is to add some canopied gun turrest to get that WWII feel. Cool stuff.

Excellent, can't wait to see it rendered. As I recall from a Ron Moore podcast, the gravity in the landing bays is inverted for half the bays. That should make for interesting renders!

Whoa! How'd I miss this thread?!?

Excellent work, dude! Most excellent indeed.

I think that the opening for your landing bays is a bit too wide, tho. I think that the walls need to be a bit thicker and the openings to "tall".

Regardless, you've done something I never could in building this on your 'puter. Great job! :Nsalute:
