My model, made it almost a year ago, needs some more cleaning up, and more important a cockpit, simply do not have the time.

Yeah, I knew someone out there made one, but didn't know that if there would be someone else out there making one. I just been looking to download one, as I am too busy working on other 3d projects. By the, way I you did a get job on that model!

Can anyone help me make a custom 3D viper picture of either the DeSanto Viper or the MKII Viper from the new Galactica, maybe even a MKVII. I am not very good with 3D rendering, and wnat to add my number, name, handle and Battlestar name to the viper. I would be most pleased if someone could help me with this. Maybe even work up a picture of the Pegasus style Battlestar with my Battlestars name on it.

Nice model, awesome job! How long did you spend developing the model? What software did you use? 3dmax?

Yep Wil built it in MAX, I've done a LW conversion of it, though it's not finished yet, there's still no cockpit, and I'm trying to sort out a way of building the panelling into the model so I can dump the bump maps, which as Wil stated over at Sci-Fi meshes, are really pretty big.

Cheers

Billy

Try this link:

In this (page2) Kevin Kenobi explains how he did the panelling in LW to his mkVII and a very good job he did.

Thanks Wil, I'd already seen the model build in progress, but hadn't seen the mini tute by Kevin, I'll give it a try, it's basically the same thing I did to the head dome on my Dalek.

Would I be able to download the original Max version somewhere?

It used to be available from Sci-Fi meshes through a thread of wil's, but after a massive crash all the old threads disappeared, hopefully he'll will see this message and post a link to it here, or allow Warrior or myself to upload his original to the downloads section.
