I came across this article on-line from last April when Pope John Paul II died, and it features an interview with Anne Lockhart recalling her meeting with the Pope in 1985, as well as a picture of her shaking hands with him. Very interesting to say the least!

Does anyone know what movie she was shooting when she was in Rome?

Cheers,

Wow.
Such a meeting is surely a once in a lifetime privilege for most of us mere mortals.

I myself was lucky enough to meet Anne a few months back. I imagine that PJP2 was as chuffed as I was. :rotf:

Well, I too have met Anne Lockhart, and a nicer human being you'd be hard-pressed to meet.

Still incredibly pretty too.

Absolutely!
She's certainly my favourite 'hippy chick' ;)

Lara,

She was shooting Troll. The article says there were 2 other actresses, so maybe Noah wasn't there.

As Peter, said, the nicest actress you could ever meet.

Centurion, where did you meet Anne? I had the same reaction as you did when I met her.

I never met Anne, but I went to Rome in 2000 and was within 5 feet of John Paul. I have to admit that even then he was a awe inspiring individual

It was in Birmingham a few months back. The whole crew were there.
Anne was really sweet. Although it was weird to see her out of the uniform...

That picture showing her next to a vintage pic from Galactica really shows off how unchanged Anne remains 26 years later. She is an amazingly beautiful woman.

I'd always noticed how Anne seemed to exude a kind of spiritual quality, especially how she always seems to sign "God bless you" to all her autographed pics. Finding this article offered a bit more illumination on that facet of her character.

Thanks Mike.
I only just rememberl Troll. It was a bit inconsistent. Had some great ideas/ poor execuction as well as some shrug worthy stuff done brilliantly!!
I had to look it up to remember the finer points...and realised I HAD heard the name 'Harry Potter' in a fantasy movie before ...

Cheers,
Lara

You're right, Eric! WHen she signed my photo several years ago, I think it was in 1999 or 2000, she also signed it like that!

She is an amazingly wonderful and happy person from the times I met her. She was also our Honorary Commander in our Callisto role playing game. She is such a sweetheart...

You know, thats what I really liked about it myself!
She has an almost identical expression on her face in both shots, it's an amazing comparison considering there's such a time-gap between the two.

Both Anne and Laurette are still absolutely radiant!
I must confess to a small crush on both :D

I hear Laurette kept the 'raid on Gamoray' outfit
