Hybrid

Hi there.
Been working on this model for the last... 4 hours.
I was trying to find a sort of hybrid between the viper Mk.2 and Mk.7, and ended up with this model. Made it using 3DS max. It's almost finished, but still got a bit of texturing work to do yet.

heh, thanks. nothing to it. ok, i'm modest, it wasn't the easiest.
and just to clear up anything odd, yes, the cockpit was intended to be gold (like in the miniseries, how they seem to be tinted in all the space shots)
i even went to the trouble of putting in adama's callsign and tail numbering

3DS max. actually, i'm pretty new to it. but my 1st ever 3d moddeling program was gmax, a sister program, so it wasn't completely alien. before 3DS max, however, i was using blender. but i found it to be a bit too limiting and confusing, so i made the change.

Got round to doing another 3 hours solid work on it. I have now fixed my jet streams and added lighting. I also added a pilot, whom i have named 'Nick the Viper guy'. Personally i think it is much better for it:
