I have had time on my hands and have been watching my A-Team dvds. I recentlly purchased season 1 but don't plan on watching the pilot[Mexican Sleighride] which had someone else as Face Man. Fortunately Dirk was cast when the show went to series. Steven J Cannell fought to get him in fact. Face-man is just an offshoot of Starbuck. Dirk smokes a cigar, courts the ladies, and even has a run in with a Cylon in the opening credits.

Actualy the shot in the credits at the beginning is an encounter in one of the episodes. The A-team was at universal studios and 'face' was standing there, and a cylon walked by.... he kinda turned his head and went "uuuuu..." and then they cut away. IIRC (been a while since I seen it)

I always thought that show was really cool....

I'd love to ask Dirk to sign a screenshot of it, and ask him to improvise a witty comment....I wonder what he might write......?

Thoughts anyone ?

Dirk points his finger at the Cylon as if saying, "Do I know you?" Cracks me up everytime I see it.

lol, Dirk's at his best when he's playing 'Dirk'.
When we met him recently and asked him if he'd still do a continuation he said something like: 'Yeah I guess I'd probobly do it if they waved a big box of cigars in front of me'.

I enjoyed A-Team but recall being alarmed over Dirk being a part of its cast. "B-but what about Battlestar...? He won't be free to do Battlestar when all of our write-in campaigns pay off!"

Turns out his schedule was Battlestar-free enough to do A-Team after all...

When I met him in Pennsylvania 6 years ago he sat on a stage for Q&A with Richard Hatch, Herb Jefferson, Jack Stauffer, Anne Lockhart and John Colicos. They were all asked what their favorite acting gigs were.

I don't remember what most of them said, except Colicos saying it was hard for him to come up with one thing as he acted for 50 years, but I remember Dirk saying BSG was one of his favorites. Then he said The A-Team was cartoonish.

I'm not posting to bash this show considering that I liked it, it had great action scenes and was fun to watch. But I remember reading of his fights with the cast and thought some of you would have liked to know what Dirk himself said about it. I know he has a forum for it at his homepage and he signs A-Team pics.

The Cylon walking by him was one of the first A-Team episodes if I remember right.

The above con was at Fort Washington Pa near the end of August 1999. Major West from Lost in Space was there and so was Linda Hamilton from Planet of the Apes (sorry guys, she was fully dressed). :D

That's a great scene! Love it very much!

I remember Scavenger Hunt. that was funny like Midnight Madness which I have on DVD. Is Scavenger Hunt on DVD? I was just thinking of it yesterday. Remember Meatloaf as the biker gang leader? "Beat him to death"

Never saw Sssss (sp)

I just read his article and commented at CA.

A great man who clearly stands out among his peers.

For all the talk about one person or another in Hollywood who has morals or integrity in a slime-filled business, he shows it through his actions every time you see him or read about anything he's said.

Winkler, Robert Davi, Markie Post, John Moschitta Jr., Wings Hauser, Janine Turner, Joe E. Tata, John Saxon, Richard Herd, Dennis Franz, Claudia Christian, Ken Swoffard, and Judson Scott.
