FTL Drive

Does anyone have any documentation about the TOS Galactica's FTL drive? Was she strictly thrust only or did she have jump capability that wasn't shown in the episodes?

I'm starting some research on a potential fanfic project. For this project to work I need a Galactica that has jump capability.

There would be no way to refit the Galactica easily as a part of this work. The power sources are totally incompatible.
